Alabama’s ban on abortion: why it should be celebrated

Even an 11 year old Rape victim can’t terminate her pregnancy because the foetus in the womb is a person.

Alabama is a state in the South Eastern region of the United States. On Tuesday, Alabama Senate passed the bill to ban Abortion in the state. The law only allows exceptions “to avoid a serious health risk to the unborn child’s mother-for ectopic pregnancy and if the unborn child has a lethal anomaly.
Democrats re-introduced an amendment to exempt rape and incest victims, but the motion failed on an 21 vote.

Check out Gov. Kay’s tweet

Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton called the bill an example of “appalling attacks on women’s lives and fundamental freedoms.” But Alabama Governor, Kay Ivey isn’t wrong on all fours!

It’s not just about personal sentiments, when a heartbeat can be identified, the feotus automatically deserves to live! Put simply, abortion is Murder, Imagine if you had been aborted? Urgh!

Sponsors insist they wanted to limit exceptions because the bill is designed to encourage the idea that a fetus is a person with rights as oppose to the U.S Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade that established a woman’s right to abortion.

“Human life has rights, and when someone takes those rights, that’s when we as government have to step in,” Republican Clyde Chambliss, the Senate sponsor of the abortion ban justified.

Hold on a minute 🤔

Look at the Richest black woman, Oprah Winfrey, a victim of rape! She didn’t terminate the baby even if sadly, it died after two weeks.

Victims of rape should build their self esteem and see Good in the child. The child isn’t the cause of the pain, it’s only a result of it. “Everything happens for good”, this saying has changed so many negative events to a beneficial one.

If you’ve been raped before, it wasn’t your fault no matter how hard you blame yourself, forgive yourself and the world for being such a wicked place. However, terminating that baby wouldn’t make it better or drive the inner pain away. Love that baby, no matter how much it reminds you of an unfortunate event.

Finally, for incest victims, I’m pretty sure they have full knowledge of the dangers of what they do. The shouldn’t be an exemption either. No matter how it’s painted, abortion is wrong.

Gov Kay’s decision to sign the bill should be welcomed no matter the opposing views of any cabinet member.

These are my reasons;

  1. Once it’s heart starts beating it’s human. Every human has an innate right to life.
  2. It’s innocent and a blessing in disguise. Some blessings come as a burden. Irrespective of the age of the victim, the government who passed this bill should assist in providing all it takes to uphold this bill and protect the baby and it’s mother. The baby is innocent and not to blamed for anything.
  3. It may be who the world has been waiting for. Someone to stand up for the less privileged, the unfortunate, the poor and helpless.

This and many more, I’d love to hear your views and reasons for them!

  1. Kudo Madam Ivy, in a world where people are
so crazy about doing anything for self gratification, we need people like this to stand up on sensitive issues. A foetus is a human being as long as it starts breathing. I pray this will set the pace for others to follow.
