Her son's name is an homage to her birth name, Amethyst, which, like Onyx, is a type of quartz. Iggy Azalea's real name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly.

Iggy Azalea Confirmed a month ago that she had been delivered of her baby boy. What really struck her fans, was the name she demanded her baby to be called. 

Iggy Azalea's baby's name is 'onyx'. Onyx was named after a gemstone. I think it's pretty cool for a baby boy. Sounds like one of the characters from GOT (Game of Throne).

Iggy is currently in a serious relationship with Playboy Carti and fans support she is engaged as well. No official statement from the duo yet.

They both met during her Tour overseas in 2018. Iggy Azalea has been dating fellow rapper Playboy carti since then.

Azalea has always been creative with words. She chose her stage name by combining the name of her childhood dog, Iggy, and the street she grew up on, Azalea Street, in her Australian hometown.

Some other funny but cute celebrity baby names are gemstones too but onyx i think tops the chart. Maya Rudolph and husband Paul Thomas Anderson named their daughter Pearl, Rod Stewart and Tobey Maguire both have daughters named Ruby, and, of course, there's Amber Heard and Amber Riley, and Bijou Philips (kind of cheating here, but bijou is French for "jewel").
